SWING Point Challenge with Ichimoku

Monday: Introduction to Swing Point Analysis with Ichimoku

Mission : Today we're going to understand the basic concepts of swing points and how to analyze them with the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo.

  • Task 1 :
Read a detailed article on swing point analysis using Ichimoku. Understand how the lines of the Ichimoku cloud can be used to spot trend reversals and potential turning points.
  • Task 2 :
On a graph of your choice, identify the significant swing points using the Ichimoku lines (Tenkan-sen, Kijun-sen, Senkou Span A and Senkou Span B).
  • Task 3 :
Share your observations and swing point analyses on social networks using #xenesy and tagging @xenesy_project.

Tuesday to Thursday: Practice Swing Point Analysis

Mission : During these three days, we'll apply the concepts we've studied to analyze swing points on real-time graphs.

  • Task 1 :
Open a demo trading account if you haven't already. Use real-time charts to analyze swing points on different assets.
  • Task 2 :
Every day, identify swing points using the Ichimoku on different assets (currency pairs, stocks, indices, etc.). Locate points where the Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen lines cross, and observe price behavior around the Kumo.
  • Task 3 :
Make a note of your analyses in a trading journal, indicating when you've identified swing points and the logic behind your analysis.
  • Task 4 :
Share your discoveries and analyses with #xenesy and @xenesy_project. Don't forget to note your observations on signal efficiency.

Friday: Performance analysis and adjustments

Mission : Today, we'll be reviewing our swing point analyses and adjusting our strategies according to the results obtained.

  • Task 1 :
Review your analyses for the week. Identify where the Ichimoku worked well to spot swing points, and where it may have been less effective.
  • Task 2 :
Compare your identified swing points with the results of actual trades (if you've opened positions) or price movements. Identify the areas where Ichimoku has helped you identify important reversals and those where adjustments are needed.
  • Task 3 :
Think about possible improvements. For example, could you have waited for further confirmation with the Chikou Span before entering position? Or perhaps you should adjust your rules to better manage swing points within the Kumo?
  • Task 4 :
Share your analysis and the adjustments you plan to make on social networks with #xenesy and @xenesy_project.

Saturday: Practical Case Study on Swing Point Analysis

Mission Today, we're going to analyze a real case study in the use of Ichimoku to identify swing points in the market.

  • Task 1 :
Discover our experienced trader's successful trade using Ichimoku.
  • Task 2 :
Study in depth how this trader used Ichimoku to identify a trend reversal (for example, a Tenkan/Kijun crossover at a thick or thin Kumo). Understand the decisions made and the reasons behind each choice.
  • Task 3 :
Write a summary of this case study, focusing on the key lessons you've learned about using swing points with Ichimoku.
  • Task 4 :
Share your analysis and lessons learned from this case study with #xenesy and @xenesy_project.

Sunday: Preparation for the Week Ahead

Mission To close this week, we're going to prepare for the following week by refining our approach to swing point analysis with Ichimoku.

  • Task 1 :
Review the main concepts of swing point analysis with Ichimoku. Note what worked well and what can be improved.
  • Task 2 :
Draw up an improvement plan for the following week. For example, this could include improving your ability to identify swing points in sideways trends, or managing your positions after an Ichimoku-confirmed reversal.
  • Task 3 :
Set yourself specific goals for the week ahead, such as improving your identification of swing points or optimizing your position entries and exits.
  • Task 4 :
Share your action plan and goals on social networks with #xenesy and @xenesy_project.
